Welcome To Star Career Training

In the beginning when I started school at Star Career, I doubted myself. This was my first time attempting to get my Commercial Driver's License. Once I met the instructors and some of the other students in the class, I started to believe in myself. I thought, "if they can do it, I can do it!" The instructors were really great at teaching me.If I was having a hard time learning something they had me keep working on it until I got it right. Star Career Training is a really great truck driving school!

Hi, my name is Alberto Garcia. I am originally from Tijuana Baja, California. I moved to San Antonio in 2007. From 2007 to 2020, I was working at restaurants when the pandemic things were not going well for many. I decided I wanted to earn my CDL and after some research I found Star Career Training. It was the best choice I made. This instructor in the classroom prepared me to pass the exams at the DPS office. My instructor outside made sure I was ready to pass my driving exam by giving me hands-on training. I now work for a really great company, Sysco.

My name is Jason Kidd. I served 20 years in the USAF as Security Forces and 2.5 years Civil Service for the USAF. The front staff was extremely helpful in answering all my questions leading up to attending the course, which immediately made me feel at ease. The instructors taught a veteran (who has never driven a manual vehicle ever) and in a short 4 weeks passed the DOT driving exam on my first attempt. This is a true of instructors who are patient as well as knowledgeable on all aspects of the tractor as well as combination vehicles (tankers) and laws we have to learn and follow.
